1. China’s execution rate is the highest.
People generally think of China as a peaceful nation; however, Amnesty International research has revealed that China carries out almost three times as many executions as the rest of the world put together.

In 2008, Amnesty International confirmed that 1,718 executions were taken place in China along with those which were not reported. Deeper analysis has revealed that the count may be well above 6,000 executions in just a year, although the exact number is a state mystery. Most executions are done on the road using vehicles called death vans which are designed by Jinguan Motors. According to Jinguan motors experts, switch from executing from gunshots to executions done using injections is a sign that China is aware of human rights.
2. China to become the largest center of Christianity.
China is on the verge to become the largest center of Christianity in the world, already has more Christians than Italy. Due to the tremendously quick growth of Christianity in China, out of 1.3 billion Chinese. 85 million are Christians in China today. They can be divided into over 40 million Protestants and 14 million Catholics. On the other hand, Italy has a population of 60.6 million, of which 83.3% are Christian these days.
3. Over 4000 babies in China were named “Olympic Games”.
The Beijing Olympics was such an important part of the national consciousness that over 4,000 children have been named for the event. Most of the people were named ‘Aoyun’ around the year 2000 which means Olympics in Chinese. 2000 was the year when China was bidding to host the Olympics for 2008. The name Aoyun became popular in male babies. Furthermore, more than 4,000 Chinese babies were named on the name of Beijing Games mascots, who are the ‘Five Friendlies.’ This shows that the Chinese are not afraid to give their babies unique names to express their individuality.
4. China uses 80 billion chopsticks per year.
In China, over 80 billion pairs of disposable chopsticks are used and thrown away per year. This counts to 2 million cubic meters of timber or 25 million fully grown trees every year which is a lot of wood or timber to be used on small chopsticks.
5. China supplies over 50% of counterfeit goods in Europe.
In Europe, China is the main source for intellectual property rights infringing articles with over 50% of the total amount. CD/DVD was the first along with cigarettes on second followed by clothing and accessories.
6. China yet not free from Europe’s medieval plague.
In 2009 China quarantined a town hit by the pneumonic plague. The outbreak of this extremely dangerous disease killed three villagers around Ziketan Town in Qinghai province. China still experiences outbreaks of the Pneumonic plague, which is fatal and extremely contagious.
