Though haunting, there’s something mysteriously beautiful about abandoned places. From wrecked ships to sunken cities, from old mining tunnels to haunted prisons, buildings and structures all over the world have been left to waste away. Old peeled paints, cracked walls, dripping walls with mosses and ferns, and broken windows with shattered glass – there’s something very spooky about uninhibited places. Trees grow through concrete; nesting birds reclaim deserted mine shafts and remind us about the strength and the perseverance of nature.
