Sultan of Brunei’s Private Jet Boeing 747-430- The Flying Palace

The Sultan of Brunei occupies the honor of being one of the richest men in the world. He has shown the world that he possesses enormous wealth and leads his life in boundless luxury, besides having to suffer several allegations from many people who envy his wealth. He is famous for buying luxury at the most expensive prices. The same thing happened when he bought the Boeing 747-430 through Lufthansa for the huge amount of 100 million USD. This private jet was the center of his attention as he was not hesitant to spend more money on it. He spent another $120 million to outfit the aircraft with an interior that befits a Sultan.

Sultan also has a whole collection of wide-body jets at his disposal, including two Airbus A340 and a 767, but the Boeing 747-430 is his largest aircraft. Airbus A340 is actually a long-range jet that possesses four engines developed by the famous aviation company Airbus SAS and has the honor of being the world’s longest passenger aircraft.

Hassan-al-Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei uses his private jet for personal travels. U.S. intelligence says that the security on the jet and the procedure of Sultan getting on his jet is more complicated than entering the room containing launch codes of U.S. nuclear weapons.

Sultan spent additional 120 million dollars on the reconstruction and modernization of the airplane which took place in the United States. The aircraft makeover added an incredibly luxurious cabin, decorated with precious metals, gems and valuable wood.
