Seattle mom, Alice Finch, spent a year designing and constructing a mind-blowing massive Harry Potter LEGO Hogwarts Castle for her sons. It is the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where the famous wizard Harry Potter went to. Hogwarts Castle, inspired by the “Harry Potter” books by J.K. Rowling, is vast; shaped like an L, with each arm 13 feet long and 5 feet wide. Finch told the press that she spent over a year in the recreation of the school using almost 400,000 LEGO bricks and quite a large amount of cash.
Alan Finch, a former middle-school teacher who lives with her family on Mercer Island, told in an interview, “I started building about five years ago when I was spending a lot of time with my older son in our LEGO room. He was doing the building; I was doing the sorting and putting away … After a while, I realized that I really wanted to build, too.”

The resulting architecture was considered jaw-dropping by many critics which also resulted in it getting the “People’s Choice” award along with “Best in Show” at BrickCon, which is actually the annual gathering of LEGO builders and fans. After the show, Finch brought the castle back to her family’s living room and organized a professional photoshoot to showcase all the details of the fantastic LEGO Hogwarts Castle. The amazing piece of work had gathered fame for the Seattle-based architecture.
